Travel Information for SEAM 21
Maps: Printable Campus Map (pdf file) The mathematics department is in Robinson Hall (bldg 55 on the map), on the front campus, the building on the right hand side of the colonnade. The talks will be held in the science center (bldg 56 on the map) which is behind Robinson Hall and to the right side (on the map).
Driving Directions: Lexington is located at the intersection of I-64 and I-81 about 2 miles off of I-81. There are three exits off of I-81 for Lexington (the three roads intersecting I-81 on the map below). You should take exit 188 (where route 60 intersects I-81, see the map below). If you follow route 60 into town, at the stop light just past Kroger you turn left into the Hampton Inn. If you are going to the parking garage on the W&L campus, continue on route 60 through town (in town route 60 is called Nelson street), the parking garage will be on your right hand side right after you go under a "walking bridge" (see the "printable campus map" link above above). Many of the other motels are near the intersection of route 11 and I-64 (see the map below).

Nearest Airport: If you plan to fly into the Roanoke Regional Airport, which is about fifty miles south of Lexington, US Airways, United, Northwest, and Delta serve the Roanoke Valley. Take I-81 north to Lexington and follow the directions above. Allow an hour to drive from Roanoke to Lexington.
During the conference weekend, we hope to have a shuttle bus running from the airport to Lexington and back.
